The Hamilton Project was a collaboration between Theatre of Conviction, the company of men making theatre at Marion Correctional Institution, and KUJI Men's Chorus. 22 men worked together with Dr. Cathy Roma as musical director and me (alongside Lori Hiltenbeitel) as stage director to create a response to the groundbreaking musical. In November 2019 we performed with an ensemble of seven women for 750 audience members, both incarcerated and free.

The project was co-produced by Healing Broken Circles and was supported by the Braddock Fund, the Ohio Arts Council, the Columbus Foundation, Puffin Foundation West, Wilmington College, and Otterbein University. Costumes were designed by Thomas Martin.
